Sukkot Pilgrimage Hike
Ahead of the holiday of Sukkot, we set out on a pilgrimage hike from Shoeva to Mount Herzl under the title “I Have No Other Land.” About 25 participants took part in the two-day journey, during which we connected directly with the land and our heritage.
Along the way, we explored the stories of the groups and communities who sacrificed their lives in order to reach the Land of Israel. We discussed fundamental questions: What sacrifices and journeys are we, as a society, required to undertake today in order to reach the reality we aspire to? How can we connect the past, present, and future of our people?
Despite physical and logistical challenges - including unexpected rain in the middle of the night - we continued our journey with determination. The hike concluded with a moving ceremony at Mount Herzl, where we connected the stories of the past with our vision for the future of our society.
